Summer Conference Information 2010

E-mail Print PDF

The plan is to continue on with the conference and folks will have to make their own decision. Obviously, we don't want people to expose themselves to a health hazard. So far there have been no health warnings other than staying out  of tainted water.

The smell has been a concern. We have spoken to some who say  there is little or no odor, while others say it has been strong at times. I  spoke with Terry Ownby today. He had been to drop off his daughter for camp. He  walked the beach at the 'Hang Out' area and reported no smell and pretty clean  beach. Just depends on where you are right now. Again, we don't want our people  sick or uncomfortable from exposure to the odor.

My family is planning on going,  and if we arrive and feel that it is dangerous for my wife and grandson, I will  send them home. I have spoken to many who are adapting this same plan.

Thanks!
